“The Friendly Town” of Alta Vista celebrates over 130 years of heritage Friday (06.05) night and all day Saturday (06.06).
Christy Roethler with Alta Vista Days says Friday highlights include the “Show and Shine” car show from 5 to 8 PM, plus live country music from Will Barnett, followed by the return of a popular event at 10 PM to cap off the night.
The Alta Vista Days parade is set for 11:30 AM Saturday, which Roethler says there’s no fee to enter, just start lining up at 11 AM.
Other Saturday highlights include the Kids Sanctioned Pedal Tractor Pull at 1:30 PM and the Live Auction Showdown at 4 PM, with a little something for the kiddoes, too.
More live country music from Matthew Kane and the Band Greenbrier round out Saturday’s entertainment.
Roethler says some proceeds from this weekend go back into Alta Vista Days for next year, as well back into community projects.
