Northeast Iowa Man Dies From Injuries in Motorcycle Crash

A northeast Iowa man has died from injuries he suffered after crashing his motorcycle last week.
Decorah Police say the wreck occurred on April 23rd on Locust Road near Pine Crest Drive in Decorah, when 35-year-old James Gillen of Protivin lost control of his motorcycle and slid into a ditch.
Gillen was transported by helicopter to Gunderson Health Systems hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin, where he died from his injuries on Monday (04.28).
A Hindt Funeral Home obituary says a Memorial Service will be held at 3 pm on Friday, May 23th at the Cresco Community Chapel. Visitation will begin at 1 pm until the time of service at the church.
