More Lifeguards Still Needed for Charles City Pool

More lifeguards are still needed to staff Lions Field swimming pool for the upcoming season.

Charles City Parks and Recreation Director Tyler Mitchell says they need a good roster of lifeguards to cover all hours of pool operation.

Mitchell says anyone 15 or older can become a lifeguard and the City will pay half of the cost for certification and they could use at least five more lifeguards.

Anyone 14 or older can apply for a cashier position at the pool concession stand.

Also, Park-Rec registration forms for swimming lessons this summer have gone out to Charles City schools and signup will be accepted with payment at City Hall starting this Monday, May 15th. If you are not in the Charles City school district, forms can also be picked up at City Hall.

Find more info on the Lions Field Pool Facebook page or contact the Park-Rec office.
