Jeyda’s Army Community Support Event Saturday (Oct. 24)

Community members are invited to gather Saturday (Oct. 24) for “Hope for Jeyda: A Night of Community & Support,” a fundraiser benefiting 18-year-old Jeyda Armstrong of Charles City, who is battling Juvenile Huntington’s Disease.
The event for the 2026 Charles City graduate is set for 4 to 8 PM at the Youth Enrichment Center on the Floyd County Fairgrounds, and will feature a silent auction, food trucks and live music.
Juvenile Huntington’s Disease is a rare, progressive neurological condition that presents significant physical and emotional challenges. Armstrong’s family includes parents Stacie and Kyle Mulling, and siblings Ethan Armstrong and Axel Mulling.
Organizers say proceeds from the event will go directly toward Jeyda’s specialized medical care and daily comfort needs.
Those unable to attend can donate directly to Jeyda’s fund by scanning a QR code included on event materials. The effort has been organized under the name “Jeyda’s Army.”
A GoFundMe account has also been established with a goal of $5,000.
Armstrong was recently the recipient of a bedroom makeover at her home thanks to My Happy Place of Mason City, which created a space designed based on her personality, while including items to bring her comfort.
My Happy Place is a non-profit organization founded in 2013 for people dealing with serious illnesses.
