New Child Bereavement Loss Support Group to Meet Thursday (Oct. 22) in Mason City

A new north Iowa support group is offering a welcoming space for individuals navigating the grief of losing a child or infant to miscarriage or still birth.

Healing Connections is designed to bring people together who understand the unique challenges of this loss, providing an opportunity to connect with others who share similar experiences.

Healing Connections will meet from 5:30 to 7 PM Thursday (Oct. 22) at the Mason City Public Library. A brief program will feature Ross Erickson, Chaplain and Mission Leader at MercyOne North Iowa, with Carli Herzog, PhD and Bereavement doula, to help guide conversations. Pizza will be provided.

Participants will have the opportunity to share their stories, listen, and find encouragement in a safe, supportive, and caring environment. The group aims to remind those who are grieving that they do not have to walk alone.

Whether participants choose to share their experiences or simply listen, Healing Connections offers an opportunity to build meaningful connections with others who understand the complexities of grief.

Community members who have experienced the loss of a child are invited to attend and discover the comfort that can come from connecting with others who understand.

Healing Connections is sponsored by In Home Optics, Everstead Path, and Elmwood – St. Joseph Cemetery.
