Donna Hulion, 96, of Charles City

Donna Hulion, 96, of Charles City, passed away Friday, July 24, 2026, at the 9th Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home in Charles City.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Sunnyside Memory Gardens in rural Charles City.
Donna Maxine (Hull) Hulion, the daughter of Bennie and Clara (Brown) Hull, was born on January 8, 1930, in Charles City, Iowa. She received her education through Charles City Schools. On December 30, 1967, Donna was united in marriage to Willie Hulion in Dallas, Texas.
Donna and Willie owned and operated Gurthies Barbeque in Dallas. She was also a waitress and cook at Cedar Parkway in Nashua for several years. In 2001, Donna proudly worked for the Foster Grandparents for 20-plus years. Donna was a member of the V.F.W. She enjoyed antiquing, playing cards, and raising house plants.
Donna is survived by her children: Jerry Huggins, Jenny Wiltisher, and Roy Hulion; grandchildren, Bennie & Mark Hull; many great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Tonia Mohring; friend, Gary Kraus; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willie Hulion on December 4, 1992; sons, Gary Lee Hull and Darrel Hulion; and 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
