Chickasaw County 4H/FFA Youth Achievement Opens Tuesday (07.07) in Nashua 

The Chickasaw County 4-H and FFA Achievement Show opens Tuesday (07.07) at the Big Four Fairgrounds in Nashua.

Chickasaw County ISU Extension  and FFA Youth Coordinator Makaela Kime says they’ll once again present Horse Games this Friday (07.10) night at 7 PM.

Kime says celebrities are needed for the Celebrity Dairy Showmanship contest this Sunday (07.12) afternoon at 1 PM, with sponsorships at $100 per celebrity.

Participants must be 19 or older, with registration at 641-394-2174.

Activity begins Tuesday evening with Static Judging, with the Pet Show Wednesday (07.08) morning. Thursday (07.09) includes the Horse Show and the Meat Goat and Sheep Show. Friday’s festivities also include the Beef Show followed by Bottle Buckets and the Poultry Show.

It’s swine and rabbit shows on Saturday (07.11), the Family BBQ from 4:30 to 6:30 PM with tickets $10, followed by the crowning of the Fair Queen and Little Miss and Mister Chickasaw. Then it’s Mutton Bustin’ at 7 PM

Sunday features also include Dairy Cattle and Goat Show, plus Garden Tractor Pulling.

Things wrap up next Monday (07.13) with a free pancake breakfast from 7:30 to 9 AM followed by the Achievement Show Auction at 9 AM.
