Rocky Mountain Oyster Feed Saturday (03.14) Benefits Alta Vista FD, Chickasaw County EMS

This weekend’s Fifth Annual Rocky Mountain Oyster Fundraiser will once again benefit the Alta Vista Fire Department and Chickasaw County EMS.

EMS Director Joel Knutson says this Saturday’s (03.14) free will donation feed is again hosted at Jerico Jo’s, about 10 miles north of New Hampton, just east of Highway 63. Knutson says, even if rocky mountain oysters aren’t your thing, come out for the fellowship and live auction.

Once again, proceeds will be split between the emergency response organizations. Knutson says the Alta Vista Fire Department is working on the purchase of a new fire engine.

Proceeds for the ambulance service will go towards a new ventilator.

Knutson adds that any donations of items for the live auction are always welcome.

Doors open at 5 pm Saturday, with the live auction starting at 6:30 pm.
