Circle K Communications, which coordinates public transit transportation in and around Charles City, is changing hands.
That’s Tammy Elthon, who, along with her husband Dan, have sold operations in Charles City to Josh Mack. Elthon made the announcement during the City Council planning session on February 25th.
The Elthons will assist with the transition.
Councilman Patrick Lumley thanked the Elthon’s for running the transit program for the last eight years.
Mack, a member of the Charles City School Board, says he looks forward to continuing what the Elthons started.
While the City’s contract for day-to-day transit service is with Circle K Communications, NIACOG, based in Mason City, oversees general operations.
