Absentee/Early Voting for November 4th City/School Elections Underway

City and school board election day is now less than three weeks away.
However, early voting opened on Wednesday (10.15), absentee in-person voting at your county auditor’s office during business hours continuing until November 3rd.
If you’re requesting an absentee ballot to be mailed to you, the deadline to submit your request is 5 pm Monday, October 20th. Postmarks do not count if your request is received after that.
Wednesday was also the first day absentee ballots could be mailed out by your county’s auditor’s office. All absentee ballots must be returned to the auditor’s office by 8 pm on November 4th. If not, ballots will not be accepted or counted.
Check with your auditor’s office for any special extended office hours for early voting.
All voting on Election Day, Tuesday, November 4th, will be at your assigned precinct location, with polls open from 7 am to 8 pm.

If you are not registered to vote within 15 days of an upcoming election, you can still register and vote on the same day at your county auditor’s office or your designated polling place. To do so, you’ll need to provide proof of identity and residency. City/School Election November 4, 2025
Important Dates and Information:
- The City/School Election will be held on Tuesday, November 4.
- Polling places will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
- Absentee ballot request forms can be submitted now for the City/School Election.
- The first day absentee ballots can be mailed is Wednesday, October 15.
- Absentee voting in-person will begin on Wednesday, October 15, at the Election Office.
- The deadline to submit an absentee ballot request form is 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 20. Absentee ballot request forms must be in the office by 5:00 p.m. Postmarks do not count!
- The pre-registration deadline for voter registration closes at 5:00 p.m. Monday, October 20.
- Absentee voting in-person will end at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, November 3.
- Voted absentee ballots must be received in the Election Office by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. Voters casting their absentee ballot pursuant to UOCAVA should review their absentee ballot instructions for additional guidance.
Vote-by-Mail
- Absentee ballot request forms can be submitted now for the City/School Election.
- The first day absentee ballots can be mailed is Wednesday, October 15.
- The deadline to submit an absentee ballot request form is 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 20. Absentee ballot request forms must be in the office by 5:00 p.m. Postmarks do not count!
- Requests for absentee ballots must be in writing and should be mailed or delivered to your county’s auditor’s office.
- Voted absentee ballots must be received in the Elections office by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. Voters casting their absentee ballot pursuant to UOCAVA or Safe at Home should review their absentee ballot instructions for additional guidance.
Absentee Voting In-Person
*Voting will take place at the Auditor’s Office in the courthouse.*
- Absentee voting in-person will begin on Wednesday, October 15.
- Absentee voting in-person will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, with the exception of the extended hours listed below.
- Absentee voting in-person will end at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, November 3.
- Voters will need to provide identification when absentee voting in-person.
Extended Hours
Extended hours are available for voter registration and absentee voting in addition to regular hours of Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., extended office hours will be as follows:
- Monday, October 20 – 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Friday, October 31 – 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Satellite Early Voting Location (Floyd County):
Tuesday, October 28, 2025 – 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, October 30, 2025 – 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Ballots will be available for all Floyd County precincts
Voting on Election Day:
- The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
- Voters must vote at their assigned polling place.
