Update: Northeast Iowa Bicyclist Struck and Killed by Vehicle Identified

A bicyclist who died after being struck by a minivan in northeast Iowa has been identified.
The Iowa State Patrol says the collision occurred shortly after 10 am Sunday (06.29) morning about three miles north of West Union. A bicycle, operated by 76-year-old Ronald Saboe of West Union, was traveling southbound on Juniper Road when it was hit near the intersection with Kitty Road by a minivan driven by 72-year-old Steven Steinberg of Ossian, also headed southbound.
Saboe was pronounced dead at the scene.
Also assisting with the incident, which remains under investigation, were the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, West Union Police Department, West Union Fire Department, and Gunderson EMS.
