New Hampton High School Principal Matt Manson on Final Weeks of School, Transition to New Superintendent, and Cell Phone Ban Legislation

Rob Getz spoke with New Hampton High School Principal Matt Manson on winding down the final weeks of school.  Congratulations go out to our track teams and best of luck to the band and choirs going into state rounds.

Manson also talks about his experience working with retired Superintendent Jay Jurrens.  Matt says he’s learned much from Jurrens and his commitments to the school, the staff, and devotion to young adult education.

Another note of hot topic was the recent state legislation on Cell Phone Usage on school grounds.  Manson says it’s early to tell but initial reaction has been mixed on the issue.  Matt will discuss further with staff and incoming Superintendent Erik Smith.  Smith is due to take over his duties on July 1st.
