The first-ever fundraising gala hosted by Floyd County Medical Center (FCMC) brought in around $40,000.
FCMC’s black tie affair February 28th at the Floyd County Fairgrounds celebratedthe Charles City hospital’s 60th anniversary and saw over 230 tickets sold at $100 each, with some $25,000 generated by live and silent auctions. Additionally, more than 30 local businesses also partnered with FCMC as corporate sponsors, prize donors, and/or vendors.
In an article posted on FCMC’s website, CEO Dawnett Willis said, “I am beyond thrilled at how the gala turned out! The venue was beautiful, everyone looked amazing, and FCMC’s history was remembered and celebrated. Most importantly, the generosity and support that our community has for FCMC was on full display. This is a testament to how amazing the Charles City community is.”
FCMC thanks those who chose to invest in their local health care, with funds to be used for future construction and expansion projects to ensure that high-quality health care remains for generations to come.
