A Worth County man’s body was recovered from Clear Lake over the weekend.
The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office (CGCSO) says deputies were called to the area of North Short Drive/East Lake Street near the aerator at about 4:30 pm Saturday (12.28). A sportsman reported seeing what he thought was a body floating in the water.
CGCSO says a drone checked the open water and confirmed the report. Fire crews from Clear Lake and Ventura then recovered the body, which has been identified as that of 59-year-old Bradley Church of Joice.
An investigation is continuing into this death by the Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
