One Person Dead Following Weekend Northeast Iowa

One person has died following a weekend fire in Northeast Iowa.
The Mar-Mac Police Department says they responded to a house fire on Ash Street in McGregor just before 5 am Sunday (12.08) morning. At the scene, police and the McGregor Hook and Ladder Company found the home was completely taken over by flames.
It took crews from McGregor and the Prairie du Chien fire departments about an hour before they were able to enter the home safely. Inside, they found one adult resident who was deceased.
Mar-Mac Police say, due to the sensitive nature of this incident, no additional information will be released at this time.
The Clayton County Sheriff’s Office, Mar-Mac Ambulance, the City of McGregor Street Department, McGregor Municipal Utilities, the Clayton County Medical Examiner’s Office, and Grau Funeral Home also responded to the scene.
