Chickasaw County Supervisor Hackman Wins Third Term

Chickasaw County Third District Supervisor Jacob Hackman has won a third term after the Republican incumbent held off Democratic challenger Joan Knoll on Tuesday (11.05).

Hackman says he was a little surprised, but feels he also benefited from a large voter turnout.

Also a longtime New Hampton school bus driver, Hackman says he’s ready to continue serving the County and its constituents.

Hackman received almost 55% of the ballots (651) to just over 45% of the votes for Knoll, the former Chickasaw County Auditor from 2008 to 2020.

Also Tuesday in Chickasaw County, winning unopposed races were Sheriff Ryan Shawver, Auditor Sheila Shekelton, First District Supervisor Steven Breitbach, and Issac Carter, who won the Fourth District Supervisor seat, with current Supervisor Matt Kuhn not seeking re-election.
