The latest developments of the Charley Western Trail and the American Passenger Train History Museum in Charles City will be on display Saturday (11.02).
Mayor Dean Andrews says a ribbon cutting will officially mark the opening on the trail extension at the corner of North Grand and 11th avenues.
The museum’s Bob Moen says the public can also tour train cars currently under renovation.
Andrews says the historic Milwaukee Railroad Depot will also factor into the trail down the road.
Festivities in Charles City from 1 to 3 pm Saturday include light refreshments, with the trail ribbon cutting at 1:30 pm.
