Update: 7pm Sat. (06.22) Flood Briefing from City of Charles City, Floyd Co. EMA

Below is audio from the 7 pm flood briefing from the City of Charles City and Floyd County Emergency Management Agency

Highlights:

*Sandbagging to continue until midnight Saturday (06.22) and then resume at 6 am Sunday (06.23) morning.                        VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

*Brantingham Bridge will close at 1 am Sunday (06.23) morning.

*MidAmerican Energy is currently NOT shutting off gas at residences expected to be in flood-prone areas UNLESS a customer requests it or if they see shutting of the gas is necessitated.

*Next update scheduled for 8 am Sunday (06.23) morning.
