Monday Last Day for In-Person Early Voting; Absentee Ballots Due Tuesday

Monday (11.06) is the last day for early voting in person at your County Auditor’s office in advance of Tuesday’s (11.07) general election.
Any absentee ballot that was mailed to a voter must be returned to your County Auditor’s office by 8 pm Tuesday. Any absentee ballot received after that will not be counted. All ballots on election day must be cast at your assigned voting precinct.
Whether you’re voting in advance or going to the polls, Chickasaw County Auditor Sheila Shekelton reminds voters that state law requires you to show proper identification prior to getting your ballot.
Acceptable forms of ID include your Iowa drivers license (not expired more than 90 days), Iowa non-operator ID, U.S. military or veteran ID, Iowa voter identification card, Iowa student ID, employer issued card, U.S. passport, out-of-state drivers license, out-of-state non-operator ID, or tribal ID card.
All polls on Tuesday will be open from 7 am to 8 pm.
