Fugitive Arrested in Charles City Sent Back to Wisconsin

A fugitive, apprehended in Charles City last month after being on the run for four months, has been sent back to Wisconsin.
45-year-old Santito Lindsey of Milwaukee was taken into custody by Charles City Police July 10th in the 900 block of North Main Street. He was wanted on an arrest warrant for violating parole for his convictions on seven charges related to the manufacture and/or delivery of cocaine.
According to the violation warrant from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, Lindsey was released from prison on November 8, 2022 after serving eight years of a 13-year prison sentence. He was then placed on extended parole supervision under the Division of Community Corrections. On March 3, 2023, Lindsey absconded from that supervision and his whereabouts and activities were unknown.
He was considered a fugitive from justice until he was arrested in Charles City.
Lindsey was being held in the Floyd County Jail without bond by order of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. However, last week he waived formal extradition and agreed to be returned to Wisconsin. Floyd County Sheriff Jeff Crooks says Lindsey was released from their custody on Saturday to be extradited to Wisconsin.
