Authorities Looking for Nashua Woman Accused of Break-insÂ

The Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating a Nashua woman accused of breaking into a Nashua business multiple times earlier this year.
A department Facebook notification reads that 42-year-old Desteney Dawn Olson is wanted for third-degree burglary and four counts of fifth-degree criminal mischief as well as violating her probation.
According to court records, Olson is accused of breaking into Tom’s Barber Shop in Nashua on three occasions between May 31st and June 15th. Total estimated value of property that was stolen was only $17, but she also allegedly damaged two doors to the business, with repair costs estimated at about $450.
Olson is on probation for her March conviction for third-degree burglary, stemming from her arrest last October for breaking into the Nashua Area Food Pantry on August 19, 2022. Criminal complaints showed no one was present when deputies arrived that night, but food had been gathered and bagged up, ready to be taken. A review of camera footage and follow-up interviews led to the apprehension of Olson.Â
Anyone with information on Olson’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office at 641-394-3121.
