Pair of North Iowans Score $10K Iowa Lottery Prizes

A Chickasaw County woman and a Butler County man have each scored $10,000 with Iowa Lottery scratch games.
The Iowa Lottery says Shirley Martin of Nashua won the 55th prize of $10,000 in the “Colossal Crossword” scratch game. She purchased her winning ticket at Kwik Star in Nashua, and claimed her prize Wednesday at the lottery’s Mason City regional office.
Colossal Crossword is a $30 scratch game that features 19 top prizes of $300,000 and 56 prizes of $10,000.Â
Lottery officials say Brett Kleespies of Parkersburg won the first top prize in the “Tic Tac Multiplier” scratch game. He purchased his winning ticket at Kwik Star on Highway 57 in Parkersburg and claimed his prize Monday at the lottery’s Cedar Rapids regional office.
Tic Tac Multiplier is a $2 scratch game that features five top prizes of $10,000.
