Speaker in Charles City to Address Keeping Businesses Engaged and Relevan

Business owners and their staff, or anyone thinking about going into business, are invited to hear a free presentation next week in Charles City.

Les Nelson of Market Place Media will discuss “Keeping Businesses Engaged and Relevant in Today’s World” at 6:30 pm on Monday, May 15, at The Charles Theatre.

Discussion topics include what is seen as the community’s business identity and vision; what are our shared values and goals, and how to communicate that message to the rest of the community in order to stay relevant and effective while creating a multi-faceted legacy. He’ll also offer ways to set local community businesses apart from Amazon and reinforce the value and importance that local retail has to offer.

Nelson has over 30 years of helping small and medium-size businesses get their messages out effectively to potential buyers in a constantly changing and competitive marketplace.

Nelson’s appearance is presented by the Business Improvement Committee of Main Street Charles City.
