Project Rise Seeks Donations at Friday’s Black and Orange Blowout in Charles City

PComet fans can get a preview of the Charles City High School boys and girls basketball teams Friday night and help a worthy cause.

Sophomore Danica Dejongoy is with the school’s Project Rise program, which is sponsoring the Black and Orange Blowout.

Dejongoy says there will also be contests and events for all ages in addition to the basketball action which starts at 7 p.m. in the Competition Gym at the High School.

Sophomore Keaton Ross says Project Rise is a mentoring and tutoring program.
