North Iowa RV manufacturer to Trim Workforce by 50 Employees

A north Iowa manufacturer is cutting some 50 employees.

According to the Iowa Workforce Development Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN) website, Winnebago Industries notified the state that 51 employees would be affected. The layoff date for those workers at the Forest City plant is set for November 9th.

Company officials have not released a formal statement regarding the layoffs, but have a quarterly financial report scheduled to be released next week.

Since 2025, Winnebago has closed two plants, including one in Charles City and one in Waverly, cutting jobs for more than 300 workers.
