National 4-H Week Kickstarts Today

Every October, millions of youth, volunteers, and alumni across the country gather to celebrate National 4-H Week. It is a time to honor the four iconic Hs—Head, Heart, Hands, and Health—and reflect on how this century-old movement continues to empower young people from rural farmland to urban classrooms.

Under this year’s theme, “Beyond Ready,” National 4-H Week showcases how hands-on learning builds critical life skills. Through projects spanning STEM, agriculture, creative arts, civic engagement, and leadership, members learn by doing.

They gain the confidence, resilience, and practical knowledge needed to tackle future challenges and step up as leaders in their local communities. The week is a testament to the power of youth development. 4-H proves that when you invest in young people today, you build stronger, more vibrant communities for tomorrow.
