Floyd County Operation Named Among Iowa’s Top 10 Small Workplaces; WinnMed, Croell Also Recognized

A Floyd County corporation has been recognized as one of Iowa’s top 10 small businesses to work for, according to The Des Moines Register’s annual Top Workplaces rankings, published last Sunday (Sept. 27).

FarmChem, based out of Floyd, ranked ninth among 52 small Iowa businesses recognized as Top Workplaces this year. The honors are compiled on employee feedback collected through an independent, third-party survey.

Lacey Huisman, FarmChem’s Director of Customer Experience, said,  “What makes this recognition especially meaningful is that it is based on feedback from our employees. Their voices, experiences, and commitment are what truly make FarmChem a great place to work. Other Small Workplaces recognized include Dunkerton Community School District at 13, Decorah Bank & Trust at 16, 43 North Iowa at 25, and Clear Lake Bank & Trust at 31.

Recognized among Midsize Workplaces include Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona and Grundy Center Memorial Hospital.

Recognized among Large Employer Workplaces include Croell Incorporated, which employs over 400, at 26; and WinnMed, with over 600 employees, at 28.
