National Farm Safety & Health Week: Health & Wellness

Today’s focus for National Farm Safety & Health Week is Health & Wellness.

Some of the key themes for today that will be addressed are suicide prevention conversations, managing agricultural noise exposure, and practical ways to reduce fatigue and protect worker well-being. These topics are extremely important and should be paid attention to more often such as making sure that your mental health is as strong as your physical health.

Ensure that when it comes to your wellness, safety protection is readily available for use, especially around high decibels and when welding. Managing life-threatening hazards from chemical exposures, making sure you’re taking those extra precautions, with extreme temperatures, ensuring the ability to stay cool or stay bundled up, and reviewing the environmental conditions of the work space.

You can go to https://www.necasag.org/nationalfarmsafetyandhealthweek/ to find more information and webinars on the topics every day this week.
