The New Hampton Lions Club will host their annual one-day Scrap Metal Fundraiser this Saturday (Sept. 19).
The club’s Jim Kiffel says metal items will be accepted from 8 am to 2 pm in the LS Supply parking, with about 50 people on hand to help.
Kiffel notes that help will also include some New Hampton High School football players earning Community Service Hours.
And while they’ll take most metal items, there are two they won’t take.
The Lions also offer pick up service, with no item too big.
Kiffel adds that there are usually some items won’t end up on the scrap heap.
Kiffel says Push Iron and Metal of Waterloo will again supply trucks to halt the metal away, at no charge to the Lions Club.
