Chickasaw County Public Health to Offer Fall Flu Clinics

Chickasaw County Public Health is prepping to offer fall flu clinics.

Administrator Lisa Welter says they’ll take a different approach to children’s flu vaccinations.

Welter says they’ll continue to offer walk-in clinics for adults.

The first adult Walk-in Flu Clinic is 8 AM to 4 PM this Wednesday (Sept 16) at the Public Health office in the Community Services Building in New Hampton, with another session from 9 AM to 2 PM September 29th.

Mobile walk-in clinics include: from 1 to 3 PM September 23rd at the Alta Vista Public Library; 9 AM to 11 AM September 25th at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Lawler; 9:30 to 11:30 AM October 1st at Saint Michael’s Parish Center in Nashua; 1 to 3 PM October 8th at the Fredericksburg Municipal Hall;  and 10 AM to noon October 14th at the Ionia Community Library.

Insurance cards or payments are required at the time of vaccination. Most insurance plans are accepted. If insurance does not cover or there is no insurance to bill the cost is as follows:

High-Dose (age 65+): $70.00

Regular Flu (6 months and older): $40.00

Contact Chickasaw County Public Health with any questions, for additional information, or if you require accommodations to get your flu shot.
