Trump on Processing Your Own Food

President Donald Trump made a post on his Truth Social Account on Friday about the possibility of allowing farmers and ranchers to be given the right to process their own food.

This post comes after his beef import plan early last week. He starts the post by saying, “ Ranchers and Farmers have always been a number one priority for me.” He goes on to talk about the non-competitive market with processing plants and that it is a monopolized business. He further states, “So, in order to break this powerful monopoly… I am authorizing legal documents to be drawn in order to allow Farmers and Ranchers to be given the right to PROCESS THEIR OWN FOOD.”

He believes this process will move quickly through all stages.
