UPDATE: City Hall in Charles City Will Not Open Wednesday (08.19)

From the City of Charles City:

City Hall will remain temporarily closed Wednesday, Aug. 19, as staff complete final computer and software setup in our renovated building at 900 Clark Street.

During this transition, staff access to email and phone systems remains limited.

Utility customers with delinquent accounts: Because City Hall has been temporarily closed during our move, we are allowing additional time to make payments before delinquent notice tags are delivered.

To avoid receiving a tag, payment must be made over the counter at City Hall or placed in the drop box by 10:00 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21.

Tag Day: Friday, Aug. 21, after 10:00 a.m.
Water Shut Off Day: Tuesday, Aug. 25

We appreciate your patience and understanding during our move and will provide another update here by Wednesday afternoon regarding our reopening.
