The Chickasaw County Relay for Life and the Lawler Lions Club are “Re-Lion” on you to help “Stomp Out Cancer” this Sunday (08.02) at Highland Park in Lawler.
Like many others with The Relay for Life, it’s a personal endeavor to Lacy Rosonke, who’s been involved with the event for some 17 years.
Rosonke says Sunday’s event, from 11 AM to 3 PM, will feature live music by New Hampton-native Madison Kolbet, speakers sharing cancer stories, raffles for prizes, and luminarias on display honoring those who have lost their battle to cancer. Luminarias are $10 and can be purchased on-site Sunday or in advance at Insurance Associates of Lawler, First Citizens Bank in New Hampton and all Bank Iowa locations.
There’s also lunch available for a free will donation, all to help raise money for the Chickasaw County Relay for Life.
And, whether cancer has touched your life or not, Rosonke says Relay for Life is a community event that welcomes all.
