Iowa DOT Seeks Input on 2029 Iowa 24 Bridge Project in Winneshiek County

The Iowa DOT is seeking public feedback on a future northeast Iowa bridge replacement project.

The Iowa DOT says the proposed improvements on Iowa Highway 24 over Goddard Creek in rural Winneshiek County include:

  • Removal and replacement of the existing bridge.
  • Reconstruct approach pavement.
  • Replace guardrail.

During the project, traffic will be detoured using 295th Avenue, 147th Street, and County Road W14. Construction is expected to start in the spring of 2029 and end in the fall of 2029.

The public is asked to share their feedback by August 3rd. A link is included with this story on our station website.
