Fredericksburg Municipal Swimming Pool will NOT Open for 2026 Season

There will be one less municipal swimming pool to dive and splash in this summer.

A social media post by Pool Fredericksburg reads: “With sadness, but optimism for the future, we announce that the Meinerz Dairyland Municipal Swimming Pool in Fredericksburg will be CLOSED for the 2026 season. This closure is due to necessary repairs that need to be made to ensure that the pool can re-open in 2027 and continue to serve our community for many more years to come.”

City officials noted that they continue to fundraise to help offset the cost of the renovation.

To make a donation of any size, please contact Pool Manager/Park & Rec Director Misty Prosser at fburgparkandrec@gmail.com or stop in to Fredericksburg City Hall.
