Ozkar Apparel Raises Funding for New Hampton Police K9 Unit

Like many law enforcement agencies, funding for the New Hampton Police Department (NHPD) K9 unit is 100% supported by grants and/or public donations.

NHPD recently held a meet-and-greet with K9 Ozkar and Officer/handler Lucas Kleckner at Sips on Main in New Hampton that netted over $700, according to Chief Conrad Rosendahl, who also says it’s one more example of the community’s backing of Ozkar.

Fundraising efforts also include the sale of Ozkar plush toys at $35 each, with about 40 still available for purchase out of their initial order of 100 plushies.

Rosendahl says they also have Ozkar apparel available, thanks to Megan Nosbisch with Sunny Rose Boutique in New Hampton, with orders due by Monday (Oct. 12).

Funds raised help pay for protective gear, training, and other supplies for Ozkar.
