Like many law enforcement agencies, funding for the K9 Unit with the New Hampton Police Department (NHPD) is supported by grants and/or public donations.
This Sunday (Sept. 27), Sips on Main in New Hampton will host a meet-and-greet fundraiser with the NHPD K9 Unit of K9 Ozkar and Officer/handler Lucas Kleckner. Newest NHPD Officer Kassidi Havens will also be there from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Featured drinks on Sunday from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM include the Puppy Chow Shake and K9 Blue Line Tea, with all proceeds going to the K9 Unit.
Attendees Sunday can also place orders for the special-edition Ozkar plush toys that sell for $35 and are available for a limited time only.
Funds raised help pay for protective gear, training, and other supplies for Ozkar.
