No Varsity Football This Season for Rudd-Rockford-Marble Rock

For the third time in five years, Rudd-Rockford-Marble Rock will not field a varsity football team.

The Warriors have struggled to maintain a varsity football squad since their state championship game appearance in 2018.

The Iowa High School Athletic Association has released a list of eight schools across the state that will not play varsity football this season.

In addition to RRMR, other 8-player schools cancelling their seasons include Exira-EHK, Lone Tree, Mormon Trail, and Siouxland Christian.  Davis County in Class 2A, plus Central Decatur and New London in Class A will also not field teams.
