Chickasaw Chickasaw Co. Democrats Conduct Back-to-School Hygiene Supply Drive; Host Free Community Meal Wednesday (08.19)

While Floyd County Democrats have launched a teacher supply drive, Chickasaw County Democrats are seeking donations of Back-to-School supplies for students.

Items are needed to put hygiene kits together for girls and boys. The donation list includes, but is not limited to, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine products, breath mints, body wipes, and travel-size hair brushes.

Contributions can be dropped off at public libraries in Chickasaw County until September 11th. Everything collected will go to your local public school.

Donations can also be made during the Chickasaw County Democrats’ Free Community Meal Wednesday (08.19) evening at the United Methodist Church in Fredericksburg. All are welcome with serving from 5 to 7 PM.

Floyd County Democrats ask for community help stocking teacher classrooms with everyday essentials: batteries to disinfecting wipes, post-it notes, dry erase markers, hand sanitizer, highlighters, pens and snacks.

Supplies donation bins are located at Prologue Books & Wine, 213 North Main, Charles City and The Arts Center, 301 N. Jackson St, Charles City.
