Floyd County EMA Hazard Mitigation Survey Open Through Friday (08.14)

The Floyd County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is seeking input from County residents in the effort to update the Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan.

EMA Director Jason Webster says FEMA requires that the plan must be updated every five years.

Webster says the Hazard Mitigation Plan is vital for the County to receive federal aid in the event of a natural disaster.

Webster says public participation in a survey to assess preparation for disasters is an important part of the process.

Webster thanks those who take the survey in helping identify hazards, reduce future risks, and make Floyd County a safer, more resilient place to live, work, and visit.

A link to the survey is included with this station on our station website, as well as the Floyd County Iowa Emergency Management Agency Facebook page, which also includes a scannable QR code.
The survey is set to close at 4:30 pm on August 14th.
