Mike Molstead Motors to Provide Free Activity Passes for Charles City Students

Every student in kindergarten through 12th grade in the Charles City School District will receive a free Student Activity Pass for the 2026-27 school year.
Charles City Schools have announced that, thanks to the generosity of Mike Molstead Motors, the auto dealership will cover the entire costs, with sources indicating the cost is about $20,000.
Dana Bohlen, activities director and middle school assistant principal, says, “The impact this contribution will have on our students, families and athletes is extraordinary. I’m excited to see the stands full and the atmosphere electric at our home events! The Molstead family is an irreplaceable asset to this community. Mike Molstead was a man of true Comet pride, community support and generosity. A big thank you goes out to Jordan, Josh, Jackson, and the Mike Molstead Motors family for this donation to Charles City athletics!”
The activity pass will provide free admission to all regular-season home athletic events, giving every student the opportunity to cheer on the Comets, support their classmates and be part of the exciting atmosphere at home competitions. Additional information regarding the distribution of these passes will be shared with families as it becomes available.
