A Charles City High School junior is the 2026 Floyd County Fair Queen.
Madison Vance was crowned Tuesday (07.14) night to kick off the fair. Becoming fair queen is the latest form of fair involvement for Vance.
Vance says she’s ready for a busy week of appearances across the fair.
Vance, the daughter of Shaun Vance and Kim Vance, is already looking head towards college.
In addition to the crowning of Vance as Floyd County Fair Queen, Holland Heller, daughter of Vance and Kierstin Heller, was named Little Miss, with Beckett Ungs, son of Derick and Cari Ungs, selected Little Mister.
The Fair continues through Sunday (07.19).
At last weekend’s Chickasaw County 4H and FFA Achievement Show in Nashua, Brenna Throndson was crowned Fair Queen, with Jennifer Eichenberger selected as the alternate. Lyndin Maurer was named Little Miss and Charlie Schwickerath was named Little Mister.
