New Horizons Chamber Reminders as Heartland Days Near

New Horizons Chamber is putting out some final reminders as Heartland Days in New Hampton draws closer.
The Heartland Days Parade at 6 PM Friday (06.12) kicks off the citywide celebration. In preparation, Chamber Director Liz Zweibohmer says there will be no parking on Main Street from 4:30 to 8 PM Friday.
Zweibohmer says there will also be signs and notifications for those side streets designated for the lineup of over 80 parade entries.
The parade officially begins on South Walnut turning east onto Main Street and then turning south onto South Water Avenue. Late parade entries are asked to contact Megan Baltes at 641-394-2437.
After the parade, festivities shift Friday night to Mikkelson Park and continue throughout the day on Saturday (06.13). With parking likely to be limited, attendees are encouraged to carpool if possible and/or park on side streets near the park and walk in. Those driving in should enter on East Spring Street.
More volunteers are also welcome on Saturday.
See the complete schedule of festivities and get the latest updates at New Hampton Heartland Days on Facebook.
