Updated: Donald Dean Marvin, 73, of Charles City

Donald Dean Marvin, 73, of Charles City, passed away Monday, June 8, 2026, at the 9th Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City.

A funeral service for Donald Marvin will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home in Charles City with Erik Hoefer officiating

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the start of the service at the funeral home on Saturday.

Donald was born October 24, 1952, to Keith and Anna Mae (Milhan) Marvin of Charles City. He attended Charles City Schools and then enlisted into the United States Marine Corps.  Donald served from January 13, 1971, to July 12, 1973. He had worked at John Deere in Waterloo and various other jobs throughout his working career.

Donald has one daughter, Heather Ann Marvin of Charles City. He enjoyed listening to music and spending time with Heather along with his two grandchildren, Isabell Griffin and Marcus Griffin of Charles City. Donald also enjoyed being with his many friends, motorcycle riding and sipping on his coke and whiskey.

Donald is survived by his daughter, Heather Ann Marvin and two grandchildren: Isabell Griffin and Marcus Griffin all of Charles City; five brothers and one sister: Jerry Marvin, Francis (Cindy) Marvin, Rodney Marvin, Kevin (Sonja) Marvin, Kelvin (Jennifer) Marvin and Debra Marvin; along with many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Keith and Anna Mae Marvin; sister, Mary Lee Marvin; and brother, Richard Allan Marvin.
