Mayor’s Youth Council Presents “Party in Another Park” Friday (06.05)

The first of four “Party in the Park” events went down last Friday (05.29) night in Charles City’s Central Park.

This Friday (06.05), it’s “Party in Another Park,” from 5 to 9 p.m. at Sportsman’s Park.

That’s Charles City High School student Brynlee Bergeson, who’s also a member of the event host, the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council. 

Fellow student Devony O’Brien says she joined the Council to help develop alternative entertainment for area teens.

Mayor Dean Andrews says “Party in Another Park” is the latest effort by the Youth Council to make a difference in their community.

Andrews says other activities have included delivering cookies to Charles City businesses, visiting nursing homes, and helping cleanup along the Charley Western recreational trail.
