Floyd County Medical Center Garners Another Excellence in Healthcare Award

Floyd County Medical Center (FCMC) was recently recognized as an Excellence in Healthcare Award Winner in four categories by PRC, a leader in the healthcare intelligence space.

The Excellence in Healthcare Awards recognize organizations and individuals who achieve excellence throughout the year by improving patient experiences, employee engagement, and/or physician alignment and engagement based on surveys of their patients.

FCMC received awards, ranging from one to five stars:

• 5-Star: Birth Center
• 5-star: Inpatient Services
• 5-Star: Med/Surg
• 4-Star: Emergency Department

FCMC scored in the top 10% nationally for overall quality of care for the 5-star awards and in the top 25% nationally for overall quality of care for the 4-star award.
