Mental Health In Agriculture Focus of Fundraiser in Thursday (03.26) Waucoma
Mental health among those in agriculture is the focus of a fundraising event Thursday (03.26) in northeast Iowa.
Jennifer Eichenberger says “Mental Health: The Most Important Crop,” at the Waucoma Event Center, serves as the backdrop for farmers who feel it’s them against the world out in the field or barn.
Eichenberger says a pair of keynote speakers will bring messages of encouragement to area farmers.
The event also includes a pork loin dinner and a silent auction, with proceeds helping the Farm Rescue Foundation help farmers.
Dinner plate prices for the mental health program at the Waucoma Event Center are $15 for adults and $10 for children, which can be paid at the door, with doors opening at 5:40 pm Thursday evening.
While geared towards the ag community, Eichenberger says anyone struggling with mental or emotional issues are welcome to attend.
