Northeast Iowa Law Enforcement Agencies Look to Make Valentines Run on Warrants

Some northeast Iowa law enforcement agencies are taking a tongue-in-cheek approach to justice around the Valentine’s Day holiday.

In a social media post, the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office’s (CCSO) “Arrest Your Ex Valentine’s Day Edition” asks, “Does your ex have a warrant? This Valentine’s Day, give us a tip and we will make the pick up.”

CCSO adds, “While this post may be fun, the purpose behind it is serious. Active warrants are important, and helping locate wanted individuals plays a role in keeping our community safe.”

They also include an Anonymous Tip Line at 563-245-1234.

A ** SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT ** post from the Manchester Police Department (MPD) reads,  “Tomorrow is Valentines Day, and boy, do we have a special offer! We are offering an incredible stay at the fabulous Delaware County Jail for those that may have warrants! Did that special someone in your life mention we were looking for them? Have they been stalking the MPD Facebook Page anxiously awaiting an opportunity for a luxurious one-night getaway? Now is the opportunity!”

MPD also advises, “If you know of someone that is wanted and where they would be laying low, we can offer the following amenities:
