Main Street Charles City’s search for the best chili recipes in town for “The Great Chili Cook-Off,” has been called off.
Community Development Director Mark Wicks has announced that the Chili Cook-Off planned for February 13th has been canceled due to a lack of cook registrations.
The event has been a local tradition since 1996, but has been canceled for this year despite competition, for the first time, open to the general public.
Main Street Charles City will look at bringing the event back again next year.
