It’s time to buy or renew your fishing licenses. Temperatures vary throughout the rest of the week into the weekend with highs in the lower 40’s to low 30’s, and overnight lows staying below freezing. Chances of rain Thursday could cause certain lakes to dirty up, and the top of ice become more sloppy. Possible snow coming in Friday night into Saturday. As lakes, ponds, and impoundments freeze, use extreme caution when walking on new ice. Check ice depths often. Good luck and catch lots of fish! Last updated on 01/08/2026
